Hello from Poland! :)

Unfortunately for me, I don't know French (yet!:) ), so please understand me.
My name is Andrzej, I've been renovating vintage motorcycles for over 25 years now, but this time I have a "small" problem - I need to restore a Motobecane B33. I don't know anything about this motorcycle, because I've never had an occasion to do it, so I will need your help. I will send some photos and questions later.

Hi,

It looks like a B33 yes, but I'm not sure, I'm not a specialist

It was built in a date about 1933 but I don't know the month and the real date.

You can ask these questions here, that's a better place to speak about these specifications:

Hi,
I think that it's a B33.
For the year, it is a first model, with the oil handle "ville, route, sport". 1931 ?
There is a very big work to do to the engine ! Missing valves, pulley, twisted axis, and I have not see le gear level on the engine.
Each year has a different engine. And it is difficult to adapt differents items.
For example, you can see "leboncoin" :
http://www.leboncoin.fr/equipement_moto ... tm?ca=12_s"
http://www.leboncoin.fr/equipement_moto ... tm?ca=12_s"
The first is a 350cc and be careful on this kind of site !
If you give me your mail adress,by MP (Private Message) I'll send you what I have. In french !

Your motorcycle seems to be 175 B2S and not 250 B33, to be on there it is enough to measure the bore of the cylinder which has to be of 65mm for the 250 (65x75) and 56mm for 175,(56x70)
which says the identification plate?
What is the serial number?
It is about a first version of this machine with command(order) of greasing (city, roads, sport)and without the clutch pedal commanded(ordered) the foot.
You will find some documentation here:

The numbers on the identification plate are the same as the numbers on the frame(235090) and on the engine block and cylinder (235042).
I noticed that there the device for greasing is missing - I understand that this is for difeerent options of greasing plan: different for each type of riding?

If the plate(patch) of frame(executive) exists there should be the type(chap) of the motorcycle above, the serial number indicates that it 90 is built and 42 engine

Hi Andrzej,

I just discovered the presentation of your B33 before, and I already saw the result on youtube.
A really nice work! bravo!

By the way, as your engine and cylinder is 235042, can you tell us the bore diameter of this engine?
As I recently pubished a document on identification & datation , we would like to learn more about first B33 serial production, which would have been 212cm3 before changing to 250cm3...

Have a nice day,
and drive safe,
